Synopsis
Single mother Violet Gates sets out on her first date in years with a charming man named Henry Campbell. What begins as a pleasant evening in an upscale Chicago restaurant quickly turns nightmarish when Violet receives anonymous, threatening messages through a nearby file-sharing app called DigiDrop.
The messages reveal that her young son and sister are being held hostage—and unless Violet follows a series of disturbing instructions, they will be killed. As the commands grow more dangerous, Violet is pushed to the edge, even being ordered to poison her date.
With time running out and no one to trust, Violet must outsmart her tormentor and save her family in this tightly wound psychological thriller that explores the terrifying intersection of technology, privacy, and control.
