Synopsis
In Angel of Beggars, a heart-wrenching tale unfolds as Batianhu deceives nine rural children under the guise of recruiting them as acrobats, only to force them into begging on the streets. Among them, Lu Wadan refuses to beg, striving to maintain his dignity, but tragically, he is starved and beaten to death by Batianhu.
Ling Lan, a grief-stricken psychotherapist mourning the loss of her husband and daughter, becomes involved in the children’s rescue. She accompanies them to a rural school and establishes a psychological therapy room named “Soul Haven” to aid in their healing. However, when Batianhu kidnaps Ling Lan, she confronts him with compassion and understanding, ultimately persuading him to surrender to the authorities.
